Tell us who you are and how you started to make music?

Hello! I’m Sven Neawolf, a musician and producer from Germany specializing in Mental-Darkcore and Hardcore-Techno.

My musical journey began in my childhood when I was fascinated by the dark and raw sounds of the electronic music scene. I have always been drawn to the darker, more emotional aspects of music, which inspired me to create my own tracks.

I started making music because I had a passion for expressing my thoughts and feelings through the power of sound. It was a form of escape and, at the same time, a way to connect with others who share similar sentiments. Initially, I experimented with different genres and sounds, but I quickly found my niche in Mental-Darkcore, where I had the freedom to combine complex, emotional growls and hard beats to create something unique.

My music is heavily influenced by various genres and influences, from rock and metal to electronic music and ambient soundscapes. What matters most to me is the authenticity and emotional depth of my music. I want each song to tell a story and build a connection with the listener.

I have spent a lot of time honing my skills and developing my own style. It has been a long journey full of ups and downs, but music has always been what drives me. Today, I am proud to say that my music reaches people all over the world, offering them a bit of comfort in the darkness of the sounds.

What inspires you to write and create music?

Writing music is a deeply rooted passion for me, fueled by my personal feelings and experiences. One of the greatest inspirations is the interpersonal connection with other people and relationships.

A key factor is my personal life experience. Emotions such as joy, sorrow, love, and loss are powerful driving forces for my creativity. Music is a way for me to process and share my feelings. Many of my songs are based on real events or emotions I’ve gone through. This authenticity is very important to me because it allows for a deep connection with the listeners.

Finally, the interaction with my fans plays a significant role. Their feedback and reactions to my music are incredibly motivating. Knowing that my music touches people and helps them through difficult times is one of the greatest rewards for me as an artist.

Overall, writing music is a process for me that is fueled by many different influences and experiences. It is an endless journey of self-discovery and expression that I pursue with great passion.

What is your creative process?

It encompasses various phases, from inspiration to final production.

The first step in my creative process usually begins with inspiration. This can come from a variety of sources – an experience, a thought, a feeling, or even a conversation.

Once I have an inspiring idea, I sit down in my home studio and start developing it. This can begin with a simple chord progression on the keyboard. I experiment with different melodies and harmonies until I feel I have a solid musical core.

In the songwriting phase, it’s about turning the musical idea into a complete composition. I work on the song’s structure – verse, chorus, bridge – and further develop the melody. Lyrically, I am guided by the emotions and themes that inspired me. I try to craft the lyrics in a way that tells a story or conveys a feeling that touches the listener.

Once the basic structure of the song is set, I focus on the arrangement and instrumentation. Here, I experiment with different sounds and instruments to create the right atmosphere.

Overall, my creative process is a mix of spontaneity and experimentation. Each phase is important and contributes to creating a song that reflects my vision and emotions.

Can you describe your latest release?

“In meinen Gedanken” is a track that reminds me of a past love. The track is not just a personal expression of my thoughts about someone, but also a bridge between the past and the future. It reflects themes of grief, loss, and loneliness, offering comfort and support to those who have experienced similar feelings.

The reactions to the song have been very positive so far, and it fills me with joy to see how it touches people and makes them feel less alone. I am grateful for the support and hope that “In meinen Gedanken” will continue to accompany people on their emotional journeys.

What can we expect from you in the future?

I am already working on my next album, which will be an evolution of the style and themes from “Tränen aus Blut”. This new project will feature deeper and more complex musical arrangements and will address new, equally personal themes. Currently, I am experimenting with various instruments and sound textures to create something truly unique.

A tour through Germany is planned for 2025 to present the music live. Live performances are a special opportunity for me to connect directly with fans and share the energy of the music in a communal experience.

In the long term, I aim to make my music accessible to an international audience. I am working on establishing connections in other countries and spreading my music beyond national borders. Currently, I am focusing strongly on the USA and South America, as I am receiving very positive feedback for my music there. In fact, the response has been even better than in Germany, and I am particularly delighted to be well received and to gain new friends and fans.

Overall, I am very excited about what the future holds. Music remains the core of my activities, but I also look forward to exploring new creative paths and further developing my artistic vision.
